An Ohio man died of multiple gunshot wounds, and according to the 911 call, the victim's wife said that the armed neighbor murdered her husband because he thought he was a Democrat. The chilling 911 call reveals that Austin Combs had confronted Anthony Lee King, 43, over his perceived party affiliation on multiple occasions.
Family members called 911 after hearing multiple shots and finding King unresponsive and bleeding in the backyard of their home.
Via the Journal-News:
"My neighbor just shot my dad," a male tells dispatchers.
His father is in the backyard, and he is not breathing, the son says.
The suspect "just walked back onto his property," he tells the dispatcher.
According to the son, the neighbor "has come over multiple times making statements. He's insane."
The caller's mother is sobbing in the background, and the dispatcher tells them to stay inside and keep the doors locked.
The victim's wife then tells the dispatcher they were cutting grass and working in the yard when she came inside to let the dog out. That's when she said she heard gunshots.
"I look in the backyard, and that man is walking away from my husband, and my husband is on the ground," the woman says. "He has come over like four times confronting my husband because he thought he was a Democrat, Why, why … Please, I don't understand."

When Combs was taken into custody while in his car, his father was in the vehicle. There has been an uptick in political violence. And today, people will be casting their votes for the midterm elections -- Except for Combs, 26, and his victim. Bond was set at $950,000.
And I'm pretty sure that excuses will be made, such as that he might have mental issues. However, that excuses nothing, and it stigmatizes people with actual mental issues. What we do know is that one side of the aisle appears to be OK with violence. They support a man who mocked Nancy Pelosi after her 82-year-old husband was the victim of a hammer attack. Trump supporters have laughed about the heinous attack on Paul Pelosi. This is just too much.
