Kevin Corke with yet another snark and lie-filled piece of "reporting" from this Saturday's Fox & Friends. Fox loves to pretend there's a difference between their so-called "straight news" reporters and those doing political opinion. Corke has a long history of proving that to be nothing more than a load of b.s.

Here he is mocking the fact that Garland "could have been a Supreme Court justice," and carrying water for Trump and his attacks on the DOJ and Biden White House following the appointment of a special counsel to oversee all of the investigations of Trump.

CORKE: Is this a case of targeting the current president's political opponents or, are we talking about equal justice under the law? Well, depending on your perspective that's really what is at stake in the latest effort by the United States government to target a former president, in this case president Trump, with yet another special counsel investigation.

Let me tell you a bit about the new special counsel. It's a gentleman by the name of Jack Smith. He was actually a lead prosecutor at the Hague overseeing war crimes investigations. He began his career back in the 1990s in New York working on gang murders and civil rights violations. And for about 5 years, 2010-15 he ran the DOJ's public integrity section.

As for the Attorney General Merrick Garland, who, as you know thus far has refused to appoint a special counsel, for example, to look into Hunter Biden's business dealings or any possible links to the current president, well, he says this decision was brought about by extraordinary circumstances.

GARLAND: I have concluded that it is in the public interest to appoint a special counsel. Such an appointment underscores the department's commitment to independence and accountability in particularly sensitive matters. I also believe appointing a special counsel at this time is the right thing to do. The extraordinary circumstances presented here demand it.

CORKE: Just think, he could have been a Supreme Court justice. Wow. Now, despite all appearances to the contrary, the White House insists they had nothing to do with this decision.

JEAN-PIERRE: I can just tell you no, he was not aware, we we were not aware. We do not politicize the Department of Justice. That is something that the president said during the campaign. We were not involved in this particular issue.

CORKE: As for the target of the probe, former president Trump says he's... well, he said listen, this is plainly political persecution and he adds it is par for the course for Democrats.

TRUMP: We're not going to that these atrocious abuses continue. We can't as a part, we can't and as a nation we can't. We're going to stand up to these tyrants and we're going to take away their power. And we're going to restore government for the people.

CORKE: Trump later added, “I have been going through this for six years, for six years I've been going through this and I am not going to go through it anymore. I'm not going to partake in it.”

There are actually some political experts we've had a chance to talk to here at Fox News, and most of them believe the former president may actually be able to rally his base, because they may feel like he is being persecuted, and they argue this could really draw a clear distinction between, say, how he is being treated and how others, including Hunter Biden have been treated. They are arguing that this is unequal treatment under the law guys.

Corke is clearly on board with the network and Republican's Hunter Biden derangement syndrome, and of course, offered no evidence that the White House had anything to do with Garland's decision.
