I'm old enough to remember when a scandal like the one Georgia Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker has found himself in would have ended his political aspirations on day one. But that's not what's happening.
Pro-life Republicans support Walker even after it was revealed that Walker funded his girlfriend's abortion in 2009. Walker called it a lie, and former NRA spokesthing Dana Loesch called the woman a "skank." Fox News gave Walker a softball, amateurish interview. Once again, the right-wing has revealed its true colors: It's not about life or children. It never was.
Team Walker wanted to know the identity of the woman. How many abortions has he paid for (allegedly!) that he can't pin it down? So, here's a huge clue. According to a new report Wednesday, the woman is also the mother of one of his children, bringing doubt to the Georgia Republican Senate candidate's claims that he didn't know who she was.

On Wednesday morning, Fox News host Brian Kilmeade asked Walker whether he had figured out the woman's identity based on details in the original report.
"Not at all," Walker replied. "And that's what I hope everyone can see. It's sort of like everyone is anonymous, or everyone is leaking, and they want you to confess to something you have no clue about."

The anonymous woman said that defense sounded ridiculous.
"Sure, I was stunned, but I guess it also doesn't shock me that maybe there are just so many of us that he truly doesn't remember," she said. "But then again, if he really forgot about it, that says something, too."
The woman, a registered Democrat whose years-long relationship with Walker continued after the abortion, told The Daily Beast that her chief concern with revealing her name was because she is the mother of one of Walker's own children and she wanted to protect her family's privacy as best she could while also coming forward with the truth. (Walker has publicly acknowledged the child as his own, and the woman proved she is the child's mother and provided credible evidence of a long-term relationship with Walker.)
So, she has the literal receipts of Walker paying for the abortion, and now it's narrowed down. Walker has 4 children that we know of. He hasn't exactly been forthcoming in his interviews. Walker just shifts the conversation. When he's asked about who the woman is in his next interview, I'm sure he'll say something revealing like: "I like cabbage."
It looks like Hershel's son isn't finished.
