Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon being led away in handcuffs is something I could watch on a loop. Bannon was charged in New York with defrauding donors to the "We Build the Wall" fundraising campaign for a wall along the Southern border.
Bannon is facing six counts in his indictment and could serve up to 25 years in prison. Bannon is 68 years old, so he could possibly remain in prison until he is 93. Amen.
“They will never shut me up!" Bannon said while being led away in cuffs. "They'll have to kill me first. I have not yet begun to fight!"
Trump pardoned Bannon on his way out of office. The former Trump adviser was indicted again after shrugging off a congressional subpoena, and in July, a jury convicted Bannon on two counts of contempt of Congress. And now, these charges are even more serious.
"It is a crime to turn a profit by lying to donors, and in New York, you will be held accountable," Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said in a statement. "As alleged, Stephen Bannon acted as the architect of a multi-million dollar scheme to defraud thousands of donors across the country — including hundreds of Manhattan residents."
The lock her up crowd sure seems to be getting locked up lately.
