The MAGA white Christian nationalism cult is now proudly telling America that the U.S. Constitution is moot and their Bible should rule the country.
During last week's Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Florida, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene told Next News Network that the GOP should be the party of Christian nationalists.
“We need to be the party of nationalism and I’m a Christian, and I say it proudly, we should be Christian nationalists," Greene blustered.
“When Republicans learn to represent most of the people that vote for them, then we will be the party that continues to grow without having to chase down certain identities or chase down certain segments of people," she continued.
This is Steve Bannon's dream come true. Fascism at its core, backed up by wayward evangelicals.
Coming to Marge's rescue was none other than pardoned felon Dinesh D'Souza, who became a MAGA cultist and a devout GOP propagandist who uses moving pictures to channel his extremism.
Christianity Today writes, "Christian nationalism is the belief that the American nation is defined by Christianity, and that the government should take active steps to keep it that way."
Freedom of religion only applies to Christians, apparently.
"Christian nationalists do not reject the First Amendment and do not advocate for theocracy, but they do believe that Christianity should enjoy a privileged position in the public square," which is an outright rejection of the First Amendment.
A religion that is enshrined in a "privileged position" in any government is a theocracy.
History shows us that this leads to authoritarian and oppressive governments backed up by force, most likely military force.
Christian nationalism would be a mostly white society, anti-Semitic to the hilt, intent on targeting minorities and women and all non-believers.
America would then resemble Iran and Pakistan rather the UK, Canada, Sweden, etc.
