The 67 year old racist white woman running for a city council seat in Michigan who declared - IN PUBLIC - that she wanted to keep "Marysville as white as possible" has decided to drop out of the race and seek a role in the Trump Administration.

KIDDING. About the last part.

But she did drop out. That part is true.

Here is the backstory:

Last week during an open forum for candidates running to fill the five open seats on the city council, Jean Cramer was asked a question about diversity in Marysville. The city is 95% white and the person wanted to know if they should do more to encourage diversity.

Cramer's response:

“Keep Marysville a white community as much as possible. White. Seriously. In other words, no foreign-born, uh-uh. No foreign people.”

Her response drew noticeable gasps.

When questioned by a reporter a few days later about whether she wants to keep non white people out of Marysville, she expressed a pretty typical racist trope, saying she "doesn't have a problem with nonwhite people" but doesn't support interracial unions and needs immigrants to “keep up their homes.”

She falls back on the Bible as justification for her hate, although I do not recollect any section of the Holy Book supporting racism and allowing the hatred of immigrants. Cramer, undeterred, said:

“When it comes to the Holy Bible, it’s all one. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the Earth, he also created Adam and Eve. Same kind.”

SAME. KIND.

Huffington Post is reporting that she ended her political aspirations "after widespread backlash over a slew of racist comments" that she proudly made.

She submitted a letter to local officials formally withdrawing her name from consideration, although she didn't admit her racism or that her racist statements were the reason for her withdrawal.

Shocking. Racists are so quick to admit they were wrong, right?

But, sadly, her name will remain on the ballot because she missed the April 26th withdrawal date. Interesting to see how many racists actually vote for her.

How long until Jean Cramer is a guest on FOX News?
