If there's one person in the United States who has absolutely no right whatsoever to complain about anyone else being partisan, trying to destroy their political enemies, or someone else supposedly being "out for blood," that person would be one Newton Leroy Gingrich.
The grifter extraordinaire who wrote the book on how to demonize the other side back when he was Speaker of the House, and who did his best to destroy Bill Clinton even though the hypocrite was having affairs of his own, joined Trump suck-up Sean Hannity on Fox this Friday to whine about the Mueller probe, and those mean, horrible Democrats who are going to find a way to get Trump's tax returns once they take over the majority in the House.
Someone ought to remind Newt that Trump wouldn't be destroyed by his tax returns becoming public if he had nothing to hide. Of course, we're not going to hear that from Hannity, who has been doing his best along with the rest of his propaganda network to undermine Mueller at every turn.
Here's more on the whine-fest from Fox's blog: Dems 'Out for Blood': Gingrich Warns New Dem Majority May Use Obscure Law to Get Trump's Taxes:
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said on "Hannity" that with their new majority in the House, Democrats are composing myriad ways to "get" President Trump and sabotage his presidency.
Gingrich and host Sean Hannity said the Mueller probe -- which Gingrich said should be called the Mueller Trump Destruction Project -- is offering "Get Out of Jail Free Cards" to "hurt the president as badly as [Robert Mueller] can."
Gingrich said the left is "undermining America for partisan reasons."
Hannity said presumptive incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) signaled that a top priority of her caucus will be to acquire Trump's tax returns.
Trump issued a comprehensive financial statement around the time of his election and has said his returns are currently under audit and that the other document should suffice for what Democrats wish to see.
Gingrich said Democrats may be planning to use a 1924 law, enacted in the wake of President Warren Harding's "Teapot Dome" scandal, that allows the chairman of the Ways & Means Committee to order the IRS to turn over any individual American's tax returns.
Rep. Bill Pascrell of Paterson, N.J. -- a top Democrat on the committee -- previously asked outgoing GOP Chairman Kevin Brady (R-Texas) to use the law to obtain a decade's worth of returns. [...]
Gingrich said that if Pelosi and the new committee chair succeeds, that "by some magic method," the returns will be leaked to the media.
"[Democrats] will do anything to break any rules... that will enable them to get Donald Trump," he said. "These people are playing for blood."
