Every now and then some notable person puts pennies on the eyes of the American western genre and pronounces it dead, dead, dead. Sad! Then it turns out it wasn't dead after all, just in stasis waiting for someone to come along who remembers what the American Western is supposed to be.

Also every now and then it is a fine thing to see the good guys win and the bad guys lose.
