Fox News' Chris Stirewalt had a premonition.
He told Shannon Bream Tuesday night that Trump is realigning U.S. foreign policy to be more favorable to Russia, and less so to Europe, and he's blowing up NATO to do it.
And by this morning he was proven correct.
Shannon Bream, host of Fox News @Night opened up a segment on Trump's NATO and Putin trip and played a video segment of Sen. Bob Corker being very leery that Trump will continue to destabilize our allies.
Bream asked if Corker was being fair by saying he's not confident with what Trump is doing overseas.
Stirewalt had a very harsh reply, "I want to tell these Republicans, quit kidding yourselves. You will not stop Donald Trump from undermining NATO....and you will not stop him from realigning U.S. foreign policy to be more favorable towards Russia."
The Fox News politics editor continued, "And the Republicans who say, ‘Well, we have a broad foreign policy apparatus and we forced him to impose these sanctions, and we forced him to do these things.’ He’s going to fly into Brussels like a seagull. He is going to defecate all over everything, squawk and fly away is what he’s going to do in Brussels. And the Europeans are going to continue to say to each other, ‘We don’t have a reliable partner in the U.S. government right now.’"
Bream's responded to the word defecate by saying, "Oh, no."
"We don't think this is really a working relationship, plus we have a trade war going with them," Chris said.
Stirewalt warned Republicans that they should stop kidding themselves if they think they can somehow tether these actions by Trump towards Moscow.
It's almost as there's a new product coming out of the White House, "Trump Vodka."
Good for Stirewalt, rejecting bogus claims by Trump propagandists that "Donald just wants NATO to pay their fair share."
Please.
