Last Friday, A.B. Stoddard of Real Clear Politics told MSNBC hours before the govt shutdown that on Capitol Hill, Trump can't be trusted to negotiate a deal in good faith.

After the news broke that Trump was meeting with Chuck Schumer alone to try and avert a shutdown, MSNBC host Hugh Hewitt said that Schumer was making a big mistake and Trump would easily dispatch him, "If the government shuts down tonight, it's Chuck Schumer's fault."

Hewitt then went on to blame President Obama for the DACA problems we face today and claimed that all Republicans do really want to help DACA recipients, but only if the Democrats "take yes for an answer." Or do what they say.

As usual, completely useless propaganda from a man MSNBC hired to have his own show.

A.B. Stoddard of Real Clear Politics then brought some honest insight into the discussion about the process of governing and how Capitol Hill really feels.

The MSNBC guest host filling in for Craig Melvin asked about the issue of governance and said, "What you hear is some real frustration, the way business is supposed to be conducted in Washington and on Capitol Hill isn't being done that way. How valid a point is that in your estimation?"

Stoddard said, "It is a valid point... but there is a real push back from Republicans in the unified Republican government to the way this is going."

A.B. said that since Trump demanded a resolution on the GOP tax cuts by Christmas, Republicans used all their energy on it and put off funding the govt for too long..

She continued, "I would say, though, as bad as this looks from the outside, it is just as bad on the inside and the private conversations and I'll disagree with Hugh because Republicans are very nervous about the prospect of Democratic leader Chuck Schumer going to a one on one meeting with President Trump without someone like Senator Tom Cotton or one of their representatives, one of their immigration hawks, if you will, the ones that re opposed to the president doing a DACA deal with Democrats with no Republican in the room."

Now comes the good part.

"Because of the fact that President Trump takes different positions on the same day and is not a fair broker when it comes to negotiations. He often changes his mind. Doesn't remember what he said or changes his mind about what he said and changes positions and it's making people on the hill very nervous right now that they are having a one on one discussion," Stoddard said.

Sounds like some people on the Hill are worried about Trump's mental capabilities in dealing with complex government negotiations on legislation.

And it's not Democrats that are making these claims to a reputable journalist. It's Republicans.

Trump already proved to Democrats he's not to be trusted when he blew up the real bipartisan negotiation which I'm dubbing "Shithole Thursday."

Now Republicans are admitting the same thing.
