Carrier, the Indiana company that struck an amazing deal with Donald Trump last year, during which they promised to save 1,000 jobs at their plant in exchange for insane tax breaks is getting ready to complete the last round of layoffs.
Over 200 employees will be out of work as of January. Carrier still gets to keep it's tax breaks, though.
Donald Trump touted this deal from last year as proof of his amazing deal making abilities, his "everyman" stance and his desire to work hard to keep jobs in America. The problem? His deal fell apart, he was on the losing side and he got played like a fool. Americans lost their jobs after having hope that he was indeed keeping them employed and the big company completely screwed everyone over.
Trump promised that his great deal - an agreement with the corporation - that they would preserve about 1,000 jobs at the Indianapolis plant. This was right after Carrier said it would move it's plant to Mexico.
Only the best deals.
