I don't remember Trump declaring a federal state of emergency in California yet:

"We begin with the rash of wildfires burning across northern California that have gotten dramatically worse in the last 24 hours," Stephanie Ruhle said this morning.

"As we speak, there's a state of emergency in eight counties, including wine country in Napa and Sonoma, and Anaheim's Orange County. And as we said, at least 11 people have been killed in these fires. Dozens injured and at least 1,500 homes and buildings burned to the ground. All of those numbers expected to rise in the coming days because the fires are still burning. In all, we're talking at least 15 fires that have chewed through more than 73,000 acres. That is about 110 square miles, 1,400 people have evacuated homes."

"I want to start with NBC's Joe Fryer, in parts of the city under mandatory evacuation. Joe, what is it like where you are?" Ruhle said.

"The scene is really pretty incredible, Stephanie. Behind me, you can see one house that's been destroyed. This is the definition of a microcosm. This is just one of many house, you drive through the communities, every single house in the neighborhood is gone. Dozens and dozens of homes as you drive around Santa Rosa especially hit hard. A number of businesses destroyed. restaurants, schools have been damaged. It's quite extensive. In all, throughout the area, the wine country fires, 15,000 homes and businesses will be destroyed.

"It's interesting to see if the numbers will rise. Eleven people have died and officials fear that number may still go up. They said last night that in Sonoma County alone, more than 100 people have been reported missing.

"The good news is that the red flag warnings for Napa and Sonoma counties have expired in just the last hour, giving firefighters a chance to contain all of the fires burning throughout the area."

And what was on Donald Trump's mind this morning?

Oh, and his EPA director is rolling back President Obama's clean air rules today -- you know, the rules trying to mitigate the conditions creating these monster fires.
