Will someone -- anyone -- please explain to me why there is such a press furor over Harvey Weinstein, Mark Halperin, and even tech evangelist Robert Scoble, but barely a whisper over the fact that we have a self-professed "pussy grabber" in the White House?
Here's a graphic from MSNBC Friday, where Chris Jansing did a segment on "powerful men accused of sexual harassment."
WHO IS MISSING FROM THAT GRAPHIC?
Watch this moment in Friday's press briefing to see why women are so reluctant to come forward after they've been groped, grabbed, fondled and kissed against their will.
"Obviously sexual harassment has been in the news. At least sixteen women accused the president of sexually harassing them throughout the course of the campaign. Last week during a press conference in the Rose Garden the president called these accusations 'fake news'," CBS News reporter Jacqueline Alemany said.
"Is it the White House position that all these women are lying?," she asked Sanders.
"Yeah, we've been clear on that from the beginning and the President has spoken on it," Sanders replied curtly.
Sarah Sanders is a dirty enabler who ought to rot in hell for that. For review, here is video of President Pussygrabber describing his technique.
Here's the transcript in case it wasn't clear. He describes in graphic detail how he approaches women.
Trump: Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.
Bush: Whatever you want.
Trump: Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.
Hey Sarah! If he said that when he was the star of a third-rate reality show, what do you suppose he thinks he can do NOW?
By the way, that wasn't just "locker room talk." Women came forward and described incidents reflecting actions which were the same as what he bragged about.
The accusations begin in 1980, when businesswoman Jessica Leeds accused Trump of trying to put his hand up her skirt when they were sat together on a plane. In 1989, Trump’s ex-wife Ivana said he assaulted her when they were married. Between 1996 and 2000, there were four separate claims of sexual assault against Trump. Then, in 2001, a former Miss Teen USA contestant said Trump burst unannounced into their changing rooms.
“Mr. Trump just barged right in, didn’t say anything, stood there and stared at us,” she told the Guardian. Trump’s attitude, she said, seemed to be: “I can do this because I can.”
There were a further eight claims of sexual harassment against Trump made between 2001 and 2013.
This is such classic behavior. Right out of the book. Men take what they want, grab and grapple and grope away, and then deny the whole thing. The only novel part of Trump's history of sexual harassment and assault is that we have him ADMITTING IT ON VIDEO.
Good job, Sarah. Don't leave your daughters alone with that man. For that matter, you might want to make sure you're not alone with him either. You just never know.
