Fox News' Erick Erickson told 'Fox and Friends' that Democrats are rigging the stats on mass shootings to make their case for gun control.
Senator Chris Murphy has been highly vocal after the Las Vegas Massacre and his words are annoying conservative pundits everywhere.
Co-host Brian Kilmeade played a portion of his words:
Sen. Murphy said, "I know these are harsh words, but I believe it in my heart. I think there is an unintentional endorsement that gets sent to these mass murderers when after slaughter after slaughter Congress does nothing."
The Senator is clearly pointing out that by becoming NRA promoters instead of actual legislators, members of Congress are not trying to protect their constituents from the kind of gun violence that only America sees in the world.
Kilmeade brought on Fox News analyst Erick Erickson to discuss his new book and health concerns he and his wife have been suffering through as well as being threatened by rabid Trump supporters.
Kilmeade asked, "First, on what Sen. [Chris] Murphy [(D-CT)] was saying. Is there an implied "go" sign to would-be killers because legislation's not passed?"
Erickson said, "No. I don't think there is at all. I think it's a dumb statement for him to make."
Apparently only one party, the Republican party is allowed to politicize the news whenever their is a terrorist attack of any kind. Although Trump has been quite mum overall on Las Vegas since Paddock isn't black or Muslim.
Erickson was peeved that he media didn't focus on the heroes of the massacre, but of course they did and said, "And the media pivoted quickly from those stories to statements like this where nothing that Congress could have done, short of amending the Constitution, would have stopped this, based on the facts we know now."
Then Kilmeade whipped out one of Trump and Fox News' most politicized cities in America, Chicago to -- politicize.
Brian said, "I mean, if you're going to play politics, and I'd rather not get into it, but I mean how could you also not look at the 59 people on average killed a month in Chicago? If there was really some legitimate concern from talk show -- late night talk show hosts, wouldn't they be leading with that every night?"
No they wouldn't, moron. Mass shootings being committed against innocent bystanders with semi-automatic weapons turned into machine guns is not the same situation as making Chicago your racist scapegoat to all things related to mass murder.
Erickson replied, "They should. Not only that, but a lot of these statistics that the Senator and others are using, because mass shootings in this country are actually so rare and on the decline, they've had to rig the statistics to make it worse than it is."
Erick offered up no proof or alternate facts from the likes of say The Heritage Foundation to dispute any of the findings we have on mass murder in this country committed with firearms, he just said it as if it is common knowledge.
I really feel for Erickson's health care pains within his family since I've had my own even before I started C&L in 2004, but he was very helpful in developing the atmosphere in America that caused a cretin like Trump to be elected president even if he didn't endorse him.
And it doesn't give him the right to either knowingly or unknowingly lie about the state of gun violence in America.
As much as he dislikes Trump, when Erick calls the statistics "rigged' he sounds very much like the commander in chief.
