Close your eyes. Got 'em closed? Good.
In honor of the season, tonight's Chiller Theater is a straight-up horror flick. A terrific horror flick which I will describe, and you -- no peeking! -- will have to guess the title.
Ready?
It's a prime cut of mid-1980's horror, complete with scenery-chomping and gory practical effects. It's based on a story by H.P. Lovecraft and it glories in being exactly what it is -- a solid "B" movie. It straight-up stole Bernard Herrmann's score from "Psycho". It's transgressive and gooey and shocking and, yes, there is a little nudity and it's funny as hell.
Did you guess Re-Animator? Of course you did! Because you're terribly, terribly clever.
Enjoy!
