Bill Kristol, a leader of the never-Trump movement defended Sen. Bob Corker's derogatory comments about Trump, telling rabid defender and wife cheater Jason Miller that Corker isn't in Congress just to do Trump's bidding.
After CNN had described what had taken place between Sen. Corker and Trump, Miller said that since Corker didn't get a big position within Trump's administration, he's "letting it all hang out" and is "showing the true colors of the swamp."
If you're tasked with not knowing what's in a bill and being forced to vote for it, that makes you part of the swamp. Sure thing.
Miller than said Sen. Corker was making crazy comments about Trump's NOKO behavior that is undermining his own credibility.
CNN then read off this tweet:
Kristol said that if anything Sen. Corker enabled Trump and helped get him elected and voted for everything Trump had wanted so far and now since he disagrees with him, he an albatross.
"It's a good lesson that loyalty is a one-way street for Donald Trump," Kristol said.
He continued, "Trump will kick you when it's useful to Trump."
He's looking at you, Jason Miller.
Kristol also had more words for Miller, who said Corker should resign if he doesn't want to pass Trump's agenda.
"This is typical of the Trump team. They think that these Republican Senators and Congressmen were sent there to rubber stamp whatever Donald Trump wants. And not just rubber stamp, but never say anything critical."
"Bob Corker was elected, he was elected by the citizens of Tennessee. He has the same status as an elected official and other senators and the president. He owes them his six years of service, his candor, he owes them his best judgment. I wish he had exercised it a little earlier. But the Trump team think, you’re there to do whatever Donald Trump says. Donald Trump says jump, you're supposed to say how high? And if you say something critical — Corker didn’t even vote against Trump, for God’s sake, unlike John McCain and Susan Collins, but if you say something critical, boy, you've somehow betrayed the team. That's a very pernicious view of how politics should work.”
Jason Miller jumped on his "draining the swamp" nonsense again and Corker should just vote "yes" to whatever Trump puts out there on tax reform. Anything that has the words "tax cuts" in them must be rubber stamped in Miller's mind.
And you know Trump would never disavow Miller for cheating on his wife. Like minds and all.
