Someone needs to preserve Donald Trump's brain and study it after he dies, because there are surely some twisty passages in it. Neurons must travel around and finally bounce off walls in there or something.

Today's neuron got stuck in the echo chamber of Trump's 2016 victory when the South Korean president called North Korea's actions deplorable.

That fairly innocuous comment sparked some kind of mad riff from Trump, for all the world to see. And of course, it involved 2016.

"I'm happy you used the word deplorable," Trump chuckled. "I was very interested in that word. I didn't tell them -- I promise, I did not tell them to use that word."

Most hearing that were likely thinking, "WTF are you on about, you doughty old man?"

He went on to expand, saying, "It's a very lucky word for me and many millions of people."

Presumably this was a reference to Hillary Clinton referring to the white supremacists, Nazis, men's rights activists, and white nationalists who bullied people online and off throughout the 2016 campaign as a "basket of deplorables."

You know, the kinds of folks who think it's perfectly fine to run down counterprotesters to Nazi and KKK events in the name of Trump.

He thinks that's lucky. And he said so in front of a large group of foreign leaders.

Was General Kelly doing this again?
