Brit Hume excused Jared Kushner's use of private email by apologizing for Trump's son-in-law and calling it just a "rookie mistake."

Hillary Clinton was a "lock her up" felony requiring months of breathless accusations.

Tucker Carlson hosted a segment on the blockbuster report that several Trump officials, including Jared, have been using private email to do business, even after the screaming fits they created for over a year and a half with regards to Clinton's private server.

Tucker said, "If there's one lesson we definitely learned in the last presidential race it's that emails can really matter. The Trump administration may have its own email problems."

He continued, "If you are paying any attention for a year and a half, the one thing you learned was you can't do business on a private email server, period. How could this have happened?"

Brit Hume replied, "Ahhh - Rookie mistake."

There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. The "idiot defense" is back in play for the Trump administration.

Now, if any Democrat does the same thing we'll need to "lock them up," but for Jared, that smart young looking boy - fugetaboutit!

Hume continued, "You got this young, bright guy who witnesses this all and it doesn't hit him the same way it hits people who have been observing or participating in politics for a very long time."

See, Kushner wasn't playing attention in politics school for a year in a half. He was reading Penthouse forums instead.

Like all of Trump's team, they are only inexperienced boobs, who don't now how to conduct government business, but let's send Jared to the Middle East to negotiate peace.

Right, gotcha!

After they both agreed that Jared would never have participated in the "lock her up" silliness, Hume said, "Ordinary simple judgment will tell you don't do that."

Hume just told us that Jared doesn't even have the capacity to carry out "ordinary simple judgment."

"There's probably no harm done here but it's just bad judgment and it makes them all look like a bunch of hypocrites for denouncing her for doing it and then doing it themselves," Hume said.

Tucker asked, "Does this become something bigger?

Hume, "I doubt it but it doesn't help."

Oh, Jared, you're so unhelpful.
