After hearing John McCain's sobering thoughts on Putin, RNC spokesman Sean Spicer told Wolf Blitzer on CNN that Rex Tillerson is uniquely qualified to be Trump's Secretary of State because "If we want to get things done in Russia, we need somebody with a relationship not just with Putin but other world leaders."
In other words, Russia is Trump's number one concern.
Many members of Congress are very concerned with this pick, including Sen. Marco Rubio, Lindsey Graham, and Rep. Eliot Engel.
Sen. John McCain told CNN's Jake Tapper, "This guy [Putin] is a thug and a murderer and I don't see how anybody could be a friend of this old-time KGB agents."
Thoughts like this have been prevalent ever since Trump decided he loved Putin during the campaign trail and after he made his announcement on Tillerson's pick for SOS.
Blitzer asked, "How do you respond to the critics saying he's too close to Russia?"
Spicer did his usual dance on defending Trump and said, "I think frankly, if we want to get things done in Russia, we need somebody with a relationship, not just with Putin but from other world leaders."
Appeasing Russia is our number one goal!
Spicer continued, "When people have a relationship to put America's interests first and foremost to achieve our interests. If the hit against Rex Tillerson is that he has a relationship with people like Putin and our world leaders - able to get things done..."
Spicer admitted, "Yes, he's got relationships."
What other world leaders is Spicer talking about other than Vlad?
Condi Rice gave a rave review to Tillerson on Facebook, but forgot to mention she's paid by Exxon Mobile.
I'm sure that's just an oversight on her part.
