Michael Rogers is the current head of the NSA's Cybersecurity Division. During an interview with the Wall Street Journal today, he was asked to comment on the Wikileaks release of DNC emails in the lead up to last week's election.
His answer was withering.
"There shouldn't be any doubt in anybody's mind. This was not something that was done casually. This was not something that was done by chance. This was not a target that was selected purely arbitrarily. This was a conscious effort by a nation-state to attempt to achieve a specific effect."
Looks like they got what they were looking for, too.
