Nathan, Nathan, Nathan. Didn't your mama teach you we say "African Americans" OUTSIDE the White trash barn?

Republican Georgia Governor and Trump supporter (of course) Nathan Deal gave a speech in which he said this:

The irony of some of the groups who are opposing doing something to help these minority children is beyond my logic. If you want to advance the state of colored people, start with their children.

The NAACP opposes Governor Deal's education "reforms" which would allow state takeover of "failing" schools. There is a ballot issue regarding his proposal this year.

Nathan Deal later apologized and said he wasn't referring to "colored people" he was using the words in the NAACP, "National Association for the Advancement of Colored People" to make a point. Also, he explained, he was angry.

Yeah, we're angry too, Governor. Nice try.
