The excellent reporter Spencer Ackerman of The Guardian is reporting that the FBI has turned into a toxic wasteland of Trump supporters and they are doing everything they can to influence the election.
Deep antipathy to Hillary Clinton exists within the FBI, multiple bureau sources have told the Guardian, spurring a rapid series of leaks damaging to her campaign just days before the election.
Current and former FBI officials, none of whom were willing or cleared to speak on the record, have described a chaotic internal climate that resulted from outrage over director James Comey’s July decision not to recommend an indictment over Clinton’s maintenance of a private email server on which classified information transited.
“The FBI is Trumpland,” said one current agent.
This is disturbing on so many levels, but the fact that rogue agents who may be in violation of the Hatch Act, are taking it upon themselves to be judge, jury and executioner for our upcoming election is really insane.
This is not their jobs, folks and Fox News' Judge Napolitano explained their outrageous behavior by renaming the FBI Director as J Edgar Comey.
It hasn't helped the situation when Michael McCaul, the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, and veteran legislators like James Sensenbrenner and Peter King are saying they will impeach Clinton if she is elected.
I mean, what the hell!
I agree with Paul Waldman, who writes, "It is important to understand that is not normal. This is not just bare-knuckle politics. Something extraordinary is happening."
Our security services are out of control and think they are the the real deciders of the country and not American citizens.
This is fascism at the core.
Spencer continues. "The currently serving FBI agent said Clinton is “the antichrist personified to a large swath of FBI personnel,” and that “the reason why they’re leaking is they’re pro-Trump.' The agent called the bureau “Trumplandia”, with some colleagues openly discussing voting for a GOP nominee who has garnered unprecedented condemnation from the party’s national security wing and who has pledged to jail Clinton if elected."
We are living in a Stanley Kubrick movie.
The FBI is supposed to be protecting the US and not imitating Lee Atwater.
I don't know how this will play out on Tuesday, but who knew the FBI would be the actual agency to try and influence an election?
I thought Comey did as much damage as he could in July. silly me.
