Two weeks ago I posted a warning:
Hillary Clinton was leading in all polls and Democrats appeared to be heading for possible recapturing both houses in Congress and I said, “BEWARE!”
Corporate Media needs to wring out every last DOLLAR they can so look out for more LIES & PROPAGANDA to tighten the race!
They sure did! Little did I know that The Hatch Act would be violated by no less than FBI Director James Comey (R-Stooge) & Jason Chaffetz ( R-Weasel)
Comey has been under increasing pressure from the GOP to do something, leak anything to throw a monkey wrench into Hillary’s Presidential run and VOILA!
Comey issues a vaguely worded letter about some emails that turn out to be:
1. NOT a re-opening of her Emails case
2. VIOLATED the explicit directions of Senior DOJ Officials.
3. NOT from Hillary, her servers or ANY of her accounts
4. Admitted he never saw them and has NO IDEA what they contain
5. May be, in fact, DUPLICATES of ones previously examined
On 10/28/16 DELIBERATELY & with Malice Aforethought Chaffetz tweeted this:
FBI Dir just informed me, "The FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation." Case reopened-ALL LIES!
My late parents were Holocaust Survivors from the Lodz Ghetto in Poland.
My dad was in the Resistance and monitored a very dangerous and illegal radio. Radios were cobbled together by Jewish engineers forced to fix equipment at Gestapo Headquarters. They would smuggle out vacuum tubes one at a time until they built a working receiver. At one point, there were as many as four radios, but ruthless SS officers were very thorough and relentless in searching for them. Members of the Resistance caught were brutally tortured then murdered.
The Germans had a zero-information policy. By controlling all information, they presented their own version of the TRUTH and kept prisoners feeling hopeless!

The consolidation of Corporate Media has resulted in over 90% of all of it being owned by only SIX mega-corporations. News has became a source of massive profits, providing “info-tainment” and $$$-driven crap! They are now terrified of offending any stockholders or their CEO overlords. What often passes for Journalism are fake narratives, false-equivalencies, outright lies, innuendo, propaganda and a “both sides do it!” mentality.
Utterly devoid of journalistic integrity and accountability, too many talking heads have become the GOP’s echo chamber. Lies go unchecked and fake scandals proliferate. All too often, the majority of “news” comes directly from the GOP!
To combat this, many of us have stepped up using the freedom and access of the internet to become a “Legion of Citizen Journalists,” determined to counteract the poison of corporate media. Investigative sites, such as Daily Kos, ThinkProgress, Crooks and Liars, TPM, and Raw Story have led the way in exposing these sordid, dangerous and frankly un-American threats. Yet corporate TV remains a truth wasteland, pandering to the worst of human emotions and demanding no critical thinking.
Thankfully many comedians use their fame and great humor to speak truth to Corrupt Media. Every week Stephen Colbert, Samantha Bee, John Oliver and Bill Maher excoriate politicians. Trevor Noah and his team at The Daily Show are maturing into a formidable force and the A Closer Look segments by Seth Meyers have been excellent.
Some Heroes of Journalism include Washington Post’s David Fahrenthold, Newsweek’s Kurt Eichenwald, New York Times Paul Krugman, Writers Peter Daou, Boston Globe’s Michael Cohen, Michael Tomasky, Esquire's Charlie Pierce. On Cable News JoyAnnReid and Ezra Klein ask hard questions and demand truth from their guests. It is so good to have Keith Olbermann and his The Closer segments at GQ.co, as we featured yesterday here at Crooks and Liars, are among the best commentaries on social media. His latest amplifies The Law of Unintended Consequences.
