Last night Donald Trump said he hasn't decided if he'll accept the election results from Nov. 8th, so the Trump campaign surrogates are spinning like mad this morning.
Is the correct analogy that their boss stuck his foot in his mouth, or set their house on fire for making that totally anti-American statement?
Betsy McCaughey, who's as out there as any of them and has a long history of forcing square facts into round holes of reality on health care, was the frontman earlier today.
Betsy didn't even let Costello ask her first question before she bullied her way into reciting bogus talking points about the history of massive voter fraud in our country.
She was so off-putting and ingratiating that CNN's Carol Costello finally stopped the segment. She should have been stopped sooner.
I'm hurting today so here's a good blow by blow:
"First of all he did not say he would refuse to accept," McCaughey said after being introduced. "That's the distortion. He said wait and see."
"Wait and see," she continued. "That's different from refusing."
From there the panel devolved into chaos, as McCaughey continued to insist that there is widespread voter fraud in elections, while CNN contributor Sally Kohn and Costello tried to explain to her that there is no evidence for that assertion.
"This nation has been victimized by rampant election fraud," McCaughey said.
"No, no, no," Kohn protested.
"So much evidence of it this year," McCaughey continued. "Don't say it's not true. I'd like to cite the evidence. Just a moment—"
"We have cited the evidence so many times on CNN," Costello said.
"This is irresponsible and dangerous and reckless," Kohn said.
At one point, McCaughey inexplicably brought up New York Mayor Bill de Blasio (D).
"The New York City election commissioner said the other day there is rampant fraud in New York," McCaughey said. "And Mayor de Blasio said 'shut up, kid, the incumbent always protects the system.'"
"I can't. There's no evidence—there's no evidence of voter fraud," Costello said.

Is there nothing that will stop cable news from having a crazy liar like Betsey McCaughey on the air? Because she is not informative and she is not entertaining. Is there some other motive CNN bookers have for calling her in the first place?
