Trump's campaign manager and their surrogates has spent months attacking and politicizing the FBI, but now when asked if it would be okay if the FBI can’t sift through the emails and release them by the election by the election, Conway said, “I mean it would be fine with us. We don’t want to politicize the FBI.”
She actually said that with a straight face.
Conway was being interviewed on CBS This Morning and is singing a completely different tune about the FBI than she has the last four months.
Donald Trump and all his surrogates have been berating James Comey for not locking Hillary Clinton up, even though there is no just cause, but in Kellyanne's world, that never happened.
And now she's Comey's biggest fan and wants him to have all the time in the world.
Nora O'Donnell asked if she agreed with the Clinton camp, who wants Comey to release everything they have immediately.
Even Gov. Mike Pence has called for the same.
We call on the FBI to immediately release all emails pertinent to their investigation. Americans have the right to know before Election Day.
Kelly said, “I would agree with the FBI doing what it can, given the fact that these circuitous investigations usually take time,” Conway said. “I don’t think anybody should force their hand. I also think the Clinton campaign is asking the FBI to do something they know the FBI can’t do and that is to rush through the normal channels.”
Conway was also asked why Trump said Comey's letter makes this story "bigger than Watergate" when the FBI hasn't looked at any of the emails.
She replied, "He's merely saying this is explosive..."
It's explosive because Comey's actions, against all known protocols - hurts HRC and nothing more.
Conway also made the fatuous claim that Hillary is inciting violence because there were boos at one of her rallies after the Comey letter was released.
