There is a real anti-Clinton mountain of suck on Morning Joe this morning, and far be it from Crooks and Liars to make you watch large chunks of it.

It boils down to this: noted both-siderist Ron Fournier wrote an article for the New York Times today on "Bill Clinton Inc." which pretends that The Clinton Foundation is nefarious because Bill Clinton gets paid for speeches.

The funny thing is, Ron Fournier gets paid for speeches, too. So do Mika Brezinski and Joe Scarborough. Turns out Scarborough's speakers fee is, if you have to ask, you can't afford it. So this Bill Clinton speaker's fee obsession: is this professional jealousy? Or just an attempt to keep the horse race going until November 8?

Because both sides.

So to provide you with a very rich kernel of stupid, here's the video of millionaire undisclosed speaker's fee Joe Scarborough asking one of the stupidest false equivalency questions you'll hear all week:

I wonder, is the Attorney General of New York going to shut the Clinton Foundation down like he shut the Trump Foundation down? I mean, which from what I have seen, I think the Trump Foundation probably needed to be shut down. But those are just nickels and dimes compared to the money here. They're using this foundation and bragging about using this foundation to make the Clintons hundreds of millions of dollars. shouldn't the Attorney General of the State of New York launch an investigation? And at least shut down the Foundation, like they did with the Trump Foundation, until they learn -- because there's so much more money involved here.

Okay, Joe, since "more money" is the standard for shutting down a foundation, why doesn't the AG start with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation? That's more money than anybody!

His question is so smarmy. He admits that the Trump Foundation had to be shut down, then he blah blahs about the amount of money the Clintons raised because that is a crime? It's classic vague denial of truth argument, meant to plant the seed of doubt without really saying anything.

The Trump Foundation was shut down because the foundation itself violated New York State law, Joe. You know that. You say that. Then you smear the Clintons for having money and powerful friends. Which you do also. You also have had a chummy NYC celebrity charity relationship with Trump AND his foundation for years, never mentioned on your show but underneath all of the kind interviews and excuses made for Donald since he announced his candidacy. Now he's losing bigly and it's costing you and your swanky friends some self respect? Perish the thought.

Joe Scarborough, you are guilty of the worst kind of hypocrisy, and I wish they'd cancel your show over it, the end.
