This adaptation of Ursula K. Le Guin's Hugo, Nebula and Locus award-winning 1971 novel was PBS's first direct-to-TV film production and was made with an eensy beensy budget of $250K. It centers around the plight of George Orr: a man who is afflicted with a condition in which his dreams affect reality, but only he can remember reality-as-it-was.

The movie was "warehoused" by PBS in the late 1980s and has hardly been seen since, so I was thrilled when I found it intact and available on YouTube.

Enjoy!
