Rod Stewart and the Faces played the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY on this day, October 12th, in 1975, It was the final live appearance the band would make anywhere until their semi-reunions of the 21st century.

Their final official release was the single "You Can Make Me Dance, Sing or Anything (Even Take the Dog for a Walk, Mend a Fuse, Fold Away the Ironing Board, or Any Other Domestic Shortcomings)." It went to #12 in Britain in December of 1974 and it still holds the distinction of being the longest song-title ever to hit the UK chart.
