This is so important. It's New York Fashion Week, but at the White House, fashion and activism for those with disabilities came together in a very real way.

The White House hosted a fashion show featuring clothing adapted for use by those with disabilities. The clothing included garments that can be put on easily from a wheelchair, business attire that can be closed magnetically by those with fine motor skills issues, and special fabrics that result in seamless and threadless garments for those with fabric sensitivity and sensory issues. Also included is business attire for little people, and prosthetics and braces with high aesthetic quality (artificial limbs that look good!).

The event was hosted by Kerry Bishé of AMC's technology drama "Halt and Catch Fire."

PS. Don't miss today's midday open thread, a terrific Star Wars fan video.
