The same woman who hurled racial slurs like 'Wetback' and 'Brown People' is in the news again. Thanks to her obnoxious rant towards a first generation Spanish-speaking family, the woman, like others who have been outed for their racist views, lost her job.

Yesterday we posted a story about a rant gone viral, exposing the shameful xenophobic and prejudicial views that are widespread in today's America. Laura Bennett is the woman who snapped her fingers and said, 'speak English, b*tch' and ignorantly proclaimed, 'DOWN WITH MEXICANS who don't learn the language of the world!' She apologized for using such horrible choices of words, but denies that she is racist against Hispanics.

She says that it's impossible for her to be an anti-Hispanic racist because she is of Hispanic descent. I think that is a rule that she must have made up because I can name many Hispanics-in-name-only who act in ways that are very racist, without needing the bad language to accompany their deeply-held beliefs. Just look at the immigration views of Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio and see how hurtful and anti-immigrant they are against people of similar descent.

There's also plenty of Black people who are racist against Black People. Take....any Black Republican, or bloviating mouthpiece like Sheriff David Clarke or Fox Business' Charles Payne. You can be a racist against the negative stereotypes assigned to a particular ethnic group or race and be among that same group. It happens all the time, so she is wrong there.

The local Colorado affiliate explains that the reason she was so irate was that the dog was left in the car, even though the windows were rolled down and she was upset for the safety of the animal. Of course, most of us are not Huckabee offspring, dog-torturing types, so we can sympathize with that. But the racism was uncalled for and it was directed at tax-paying U.S. citizens which shows how ignorant blind racist hate can make people.

It's too bad she lost her job, but maybe she should have considered that before screaming epithets at people.
