Hello, everyone. It's good to be back, as we close out the summer and get ready for what I'm sure will be a fall to make America proud.
(I meant that with a certain sarcasm, but actually I will be proud of the country I once called home if Hillary wins the presidency. But then, what of the fact that an opportunistic alt-right white nationalist and egomaniacal blowhard is polling in the 40s and has a shot at the White House? Yeah, America may not be in such great shape regardless.)
Booman Tribune: Colin Kaepernick, lawn signs, and scenes from Pennsylvania.
The Left Coaster: Hillary, the lessons of Obama, and GOP obstructionism.
The Mahablog: The Epipen, corporate greed, and a health-care system based on profit.
Infidel753: Proxima b, habitable zones, and earth-like planets.
For what it's worth, I greatly admire Kaepernick for taking a stand… by refusing to stand. He's right. This is bigger than football. He not only has the right to take a stand, the stand he's taking is an admirable one.
Round-up by Michael J.W. Stickings of The Reaction. (Twitter: @mjwstickings.) I'll be here all week.
