Clearly, Anderson Cooper doesn't like being put in the position of defending his network's Corey Lewandowski hire.
That didn't stop Stephen Colbert from bringing it up.
“So, y’all are paying him and Trump is paying him but he’s on your show doing analysis from a man he still gets cash from?”
Yeah and he still calls him "Mister Trump" and follows exactly the script that any campaign manager would, except he's not. He's supposed to be your employee. Except that part didn't make it into Colbert's question.
Anderson Cooper squirmed a little, and replied with a "we have surrogates for the campaign on all the time." Katrina Pierson yadda yadda.
But Katrina is paid for by Trump and only by Trump, right? So when she comes on and blames Obama for military deaths that occurred before Obama even took office, the audience knows that the paycheck she got for that came from Donald Trump.
Paying Corey Lewandowski from the CNN till when he still gets severance from the Trump campaign is a clear conflict of interest.
CNN does not care, as their idea of "news coverage" is have two "sides" come on and fight.
