As I was driving from Philadelphia back to New Jersey during Donald Trump's bizarro press conference where he casually danced with treason, I heard Trump say that Senator Tim Kaine was a lousy governor of New Jersey, which caused me to nearly miss the offramp to the bridge I was taking to New Jersey at the time.
Had it not been for Trump's astonishingly poor judgment in announcing his desire for a foreign power to engage in crimes of electronic espionage on his fellow citizens, this story would have gotten more legs.
Tim Kaine has never been New Jersey's governor, as he admitted yesterday on ABC News. He was governor of Virginia.
"Yesterday he said I was a lousy governor of New Jersey. And he's right. I wasn't even ever governor of New Jersey," Hillary Clinton's running mate told ABC's "Good Morning America" on Thursday.
I'm glad to see someone picked up on that!

Karoli had a week of little to no sleep at the DNC in Philadelphia, so I'd like to include one more comment that I hope will enhance this brief interview. LeftofCenter
I'd like to add, he followed that pretty obvious mistake with a few more politely delivered assumptions about what the GOP nominee understands about civics. I suppose it qualifies as Tim Kaine's version of fighting back, however, this time, I think it was pretty damned effective.
Basic civics! There's fifty states and stuff like that, you gotta give a guy a break who's only been into politics for the last month or two and not all that well-informed.
Sadly, Kaine is likely correct. This Trump cretin is a man who went to Scotland after the Brexit vote debacle and praised it, without really knowing what it was, and the fact the Scottish voted to stay in the EU. Truly an embarrassment.
