Last week, Rush Limbaugh used the violent events that occurred immediately after President Obama was elected president and rewrote them to fit his conservative narrative on his talk show.

In our book, "Over The Cliff," David and I chronicled the violent reaction the right had in this country after Obama was elected.

In all, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), in Montgomery, Alabama, counted more than 200 “hate-related” incidents in the first weeks after the election of Barack Obama, a number that more than doubled after the inauguration.

Here's what Limbaugh fetishly fantasized last Thursday.

“I want you to think: What’s going to happen that night? What’s going to happen the next day? What’s going to happen every day thereafter?” he said. “What’s going to happen the day Trump gets inaugurated? What is the left going to do? They’re not going to just sit idly by and accept this."

“They’re going to do everything they can to undermine it, and I think we’re going to see levels of violence that we have not seen,” Limbaugh continued.

He went on to suggest anti-Trump forces would “intimidate” people into “reversing” a Trump win and doing “everything they can to see it that Trump never does get inaugurated.”

You can tell how this fantasy revs him up.

As Digby says, it's not the left that's been buying up every gun, semi-automatic and assault weapon on the planet.

Right. Because it's the left that's buying up AR-15s like they're going out of style.

But you have to laugh. These are people who spent the Clinton years saying "he is not my president" and then spent the Obama years saying "he's not a legitimate president." And when theystole the election in 2000, they smugly told everyone to "get over it."

I think a better question would be, what are all these armed to the teeth Trump-lovers going to do if he doesn't get elected?

Conservative website Townhall suggests there has been about 100 million guns sold since Obama was elected.

I guess the left will arm themselves with water balloons and sling shots.

Can you imagine the reaction from the right if the Supreme Court decided the election for Hillary Clinton and Trump had won the popular vote?
