Mark Gordon, 52, was charged with assault this week after video showed him trying to run over a photographer with his SUV on a rural California road.
In a video posted to Facebook and YouTube last week, Los Angeles photographer Alex Stone explained that he was taking photos of a car on a public road in San Diego County when a man in a Ford SUV approached and demanded that they leave.
"Why don't you go f*cking take pictures of your own f*cking street?" Gordon shouts at the photographer in the video.
"We'll be out of here in a second, sir," Stone replies.
At that point, Gordon can be seen slamming his vehicle into reverse and tires can be heard screeching as he whips the vehicle to face the photographer and his team. Several profane bumper stickers are visible on Gordon's SUV, including a sticker with the words "No Hillary."
"Move your shit!" Gordon warns.
"Whoa! Okay! Hold on there, sir!" Stone shouts back.
Gordon floors the large SUV as Stone jumps out of the way just in time.
"Calm down, please," Stone pleads.
Gordon whips the vehicle around again and takes another pass at the photography team, once again nearly hitting the men.
"You're in my f*cking driveway!" Gordon rants. "Do you not understand that, dick head?"
Stone explains that he will leave, but Gordon blocks his path with the SUV.
"As soon as I slap the f*cking piss out of ya!" Gordon exclaims.
Gordon exits his vehicle and attempts to assault one of the members of the photography crew, extending the confrontation for several more minutes.
Before getting in his SUV to leave, Gordon slaps the cell phone out of Stone's hands.
"You're going to have to pay for my phone," Stone insists.
Stone said that after the recording ended, Gordon pulled down his pants and said, "Suck those $200 out of my dick."
The Romona Sentinel reported on Monday that Gordon had been arrested and was facing charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor vandalism.
Gordon's bail was set at $30,000. His arraignment was tentatively set for July 13.
Stone's YouTube video of the incident had been viewed over 500,000 times by Tuesday.
