It took Donald Trump thirty rambling minutes to finally officially introduce Indiana's governor Mike Pence as his vice presidential running mate this morning.
As TPM's Sara Jerde noted:
"Donald Trump formally introduced Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his pick for vice president on Saturday, but did so in a long-winded speech that seemed to focus more on his usual critiques of Democrat Hillary Clinton and the country's security than it did on the qualifications of his running mate."
Are you shocked it's always about him?
Anyway, Governor Pence told America that he's a "pretty basic guy. I'm a Christian, a conservative and a Republican in that order."
You mean he's not an American?
He spent all of twelve minutes introducing himself to the country.
Mike Pence also has some explaining to do about his record on Indiana's economy and employment as Politifact explained. "Mike Pence offers misleading statistic on employment peak in Indiana."
