Much to the dismay, shock and horror of most people in the UK and around the world, the Brexit leave voters won. There's not much more that need be said if you consider the glowing support Donald Trump has given the regrettable outcome. He praised Scotland for voting to take their country back, even though they voted to remain in the EU. Idiot.
Twitter responses to the realization that the exit of the EU won this battle, tell the tale quite well. I'll let them do the talking.

The #regret tweets will undoubtedly continue for the rest of the day.
Update:
The #WhatHaveWeDone hashtag is now the top trending hashtag among UK Twitterers. Our own Jamie Holly has an observation:
@realDonaldTrump praises the #brexit and now UK voters are asking #WhatHaveWeDone The Trump kiss of death.
