Mike's Blog Round Up
July 1, 2016

Happy Canada Day! It's our Independence Day! Well, sort of. More or less. I mean, it was the start of things in 1867 (British North America Act, now called the Constitution Act), leading to 1931 (Statute of Westminster), 1949 (British North America (No. 2) Act), and then finally 1982 (Canada Act), marking the formal constitutional break from the United Kingdom, but the point is, oversimplification aside, the whole thing happened without having to go to war. So there.

Hullabaloo: Trump might pick fellow bully Christie as his running mate.

Human Voices: The whole Trump self-funding thing is just more dishonesty.

P.M. Carpenter: The media should warn us when covering Obama and Trump.

The Left Coaster: Boris Johnson decides to leave the Brexit mess to others.

And here's one that's a few weeks old but still very much worth checking out:

Swanjolras: The consequences of allowing Trump to come to power; or, why you need to vote for Hillary.

I would note that neither Trump nor Johnson is Canadian. But we do love Obama.

Round-up by Michael J.W. Stickings of The Reaction. (Twitter: @mjwstickings.) I'll be here through the weekend.
