In this contentious election season, the rhetoric is dangerous, overheated, and in some cases, out of control. Gun Owners of America Executive Director Emeritus Larry Pratt made some truly frightening statements on his radio show over the weekend.
He's very, very worried about conservatives losing control of the Supreme Court, and he's not above using threats to make his point.
While speculating on the possibility that a future Supreme Court could erode gun rights; specifically, the odious gun rights granted in the Heller case, Pratt went off.
And at that point, we would have to come to an understanding, which we’ve been sort of taught, it’s been taught out of us, that the courts do not have the last word on what the Constitution is. They decide particular cases, they don’t make law. Their decisions, unlike the Roe v. Wade usurpation, don’t extend to the whole of society, they’re not supposed to. And we may have to reassert that proper constitutional balance, and it may not be pretty. So, I’d much rather have an election where we solve this matter at the ballot box than have to resort to the bullet box.
His guest, Robert Knight, suggested impeachment as another option.
These people are just determined to turn this country into a bloodstained shell. They don't care how many toddlers shoot their parents, or how many professors are gunned down over grades. As long as they have their guns, they won't revolt.
