[Spoilers Below]
There were plenty of gears churning during 'The Winds Of Winter' so let's get right into it.
Their were a few big moment in tonight's finale, and one was when Cersei made her Michael Corleone move and cleaned house. I'll get to that in a moment.
The trial of Cersei and Loras was the buzz of the day at King's Landing and poor Loras was up first. Instead of a trial, he confessed all of his sins to the Sparrow and his punishment. was for him to gave up his name, titles, marriage and to serve the "Seven." He knelt before the High Septon and had their insignia carved into his forehead.
Queen Margaery's reaction to the mutilation was to yell at the High Sparrow, exposing that she never was a true believer, but that she brokered a deal to save her brother.
On the other hand, I do believe King Tommen had been converted since he was so young and because he never would have abolished the right to a trial by combat if he wasn't a true believer. By doing that, he condemned his mother to the mercy of the wolves.
The Mountain came to Tommen's chambers and wouldn't allow him to leave to go to the trial.
Queen Margaery is nobody's fool and got frightened when Cersei hadn't shown up to her own trial, but the High Sparrow was wallowing in his ego and paid no mind to it. He should have.
Cersei went "Mad King" on his ass by using a large cache of wildfire stored just below the chamber where Loras and her trials were taking place. The Speton's men held everyone in the court's chamber until a candle finished its quest beneath and ignited the wildfire, setting off a blast that obliterating the entire building, killing everyone and anything at the proceedings, including Margaery and her father.
Cersei looked at the wreckage she caused through her window, her vengeance almost complete and smiled. She had one more bit of business to attend to: Septa Unella.
Unella was bound to a cold slab as Cersei mocked her, using her own vicious words against her. She told her to confess, all the while Cersei was confessing to her about why she does the things that she does. Then she hissed, "Shame...shame...shame," to her face.
Septa Unella said she was ready to meet the Gods, but Cersei laughed and brought in The Mountain, the man who raped and murdered the Mad King's wife and children when he was alive. He finally took off his helmet and Cersei left him to do what he does.
When King Tommen gets the news that his wife is dead, he pauses, opens a window and jumps , committing suicide, thus fulfilling Cersei's prophesy. All her children are dead.
Upon seeing his remains, Cersei was very calm, solemn almost that her son, the King was dead, and ordered his body to be burnt.
Too much had happened.
After Qyburn had his little birds murder Grand Maester Pycelle, he took his place as the Grand Maester and then led the coronation of the newly crowned - Queen Cersei!
Back at Dorne, we finally get to visit with the sand snakes and Ellaria once again since we haven't seen them since episode one of this season, after she cut the Prince's throat. Lady Olenna was invited there and was asked to form an alliance between the two houses since they are both at war with the Lannisters.
When Diana Rigg says she only cares about vengeance, Ellaria plays her wild card. Lord Varys steps out from the shadows.
Back at Winterfell, Jon banishes the Red Woman from the North after the Onion Knight busts her for murdering Princess Shireen.
Petyr Baelish makes his move on Sansa, by telling her he wants her as his bride when he takes the Iron Throne. She quickly rebuffs him, but knows him all too well, "Only a fool would trust Littlefinger"
Jon Snow is meeting with all the Lords from the Houses of the North and at first they cry about the wildlings being there, but Lyanna Mormont, the young gun of the North, calls Lord Manderly, Lord Glover and Lord Cerwyn cowards for breaking their oaths to the Stark name and pledges allegiance with Jon Snow, the King of the North.
The others, red-faced now, all come around and proclaim Jon Snow, King of The North.
Another big moment was back at the Frey's house. Walder, Jaime, and Bronn are celebrating their victory at Riverrun, but it's no secret that Jaime loathes the bastard and I thought he was going to kill him. There's a really cute girl serving wine and Bronn gets jealous because she smiling at the Kingslayer's good looks.
Later on, Walder Frey was served a meal by the same beautiful hostess and he notices that she's not one of his and he pats her behind, wishing he could marry then and there.
He asks where his sons Black Walder and Lothar are and she says they are already here. He can't find them and she tells them that it was really hard carving them up for the meal. Walder looks at his food and realizes he was just fed his sons.
As he looks up at her, the girl pulls off her face and it's Arya Stark!
"My name is Arya Stark. I want you to know that and the last thing you are ever going to see is a Stark smiling down at you when you die."
She coolly cuts his throat and cradles his head while he bleeds out!
She's a many-faced girl AND Arya Stark!
Back at Meereen, Dany dumps Daario, telling him she can't take a lover to Westeros with her. She wants Tyrion to console her, but he's pretty pathetic at the task. She did share that she pretty much feels nothing for Daario.
Tyrion gets emotional and tells her, "I'd swear you my sword, but I don't actually own a sword."
In a touching move, she has a gift for him. It's a medallion, a copy from the one from Westeros - pins it on him and calls him "The Hand of the Queen."
Dany, the dragons, her posse and the Dothraki army get on their Greyjoy ships and head towards Westeros.
Bran has another mind meld with a Weirwood tree and has the vision that everybody has been waiting for. What did young Ned Stark find in that tower?
It's been a rumor for a long time but it's finally been confirmed, Jon Snow is Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen's son and Ned vowed to protect him from Robert Baratheon's rage.
In reality, Jon Snow would have been the true heir to the Targaryen's throne.
(I'm really sick today and I can't write anymore. So please, fill in the blanks on the episode and any thoughts for season seven!).
