And the "Don't Sugarcoat It" Award of the day goes to Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, visiting London (and their first Muslim mayor, Sadiq Khan). Of course, she wasn't asked about Franco-British relations, urban planning, how her bullet train ride went.
She was asked about Donald Trump and Muslim bans. Her reply was in someone hesitant English, but very thoughtful. She talked about the real world, her Catholicism, and the mission we have to each other....but ultimately gave up.
"Mr. Trump is so stupid, my God. My God."
We all wish she'd told the reporter what she really thinks.
