The presidential candidate for the Libertarian Party, Gary Johnson, was a guest on CNN. In a video taken the day of the Libertarian convention, he said
"As a border state Governor, it is incendiary to 50% of the population of New Mexico that he is talking about Hispanics and Mexicans in this way when the absolute opposite is true. To call him out on what is really racist, it's just really racist."
Cuomo poses some questions to Johnson. He starts by suggesting that Trump will say that being Mexican is not a race and that "people coming across the border illegally are often not the best that Mexico has to offer."
"Johnson: That isn't true, Chris. That is what is so misunderstood. The people coming across the border are people that just want jobs.... how about making a system whereby it would be easy to get a "work visa"...so that the people crossing the border illegally, that the Border Patrol would actually be able to identify those people as opposed to mothers with children that are actually wading across the Rio Grande because of jobs that exist and they can't get over to take advantage of them.
Cuomo: Is Trump wrong when he also says that they 'they send the worst/...not the best, they are rapists and murderers'?
Johnson: Absolutely untrue. Statistically. You always have the worst....illegal immigrants commit far less crime than US citizens.
Cuomo: Are you ready for Donald Trump, once you are in this thing and he recognizes you, to give you a big punch in the nsoe for calling him a racist?
Johnson: I think they have already started coming. So Donald....
(blows him a kiss)
Cuomo: That's an interesting rebuttal you have there, Governor"
Trump hates when people attack him. I wonder how he is going to respond to someone blowing kisses at him. This is going to get good.
