Donald Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson continued her course of lying to protect her boss from the words he has spoken about Muslims and Hispanics.
May 26, 2016

Donald Trump's spokesman, Katrina Pierson, joined Alisyn Camerota, co-host of CNN's New Day this morning to discuss Trump's criticisms of New Mexico's Gov. Susana Martinez (R).

Trump has been consistent on one thing this entire presidential primary. If a person doesn't kiss his ring, they get trashed in the media for it and Gov. Martinez is no different than the horrible people that work in the media.

“I do hate them,’’ Donald Trump has said of political journalists. “Some of them are such lying, disgusting people. … (They’re) among the most dishonest groups of people I’ve ever met.

Camerota asked Pierson if the governor, who would help Trump with the Latino community, was ever on his VP short list and she replied, "I think it's safe to that the governor was never on the V.P. short list."

Note: Martinez has all kinds of issues that make her an unlikely VP pick for any Republican, despite her gender and ethnicity being a plus to the ticket. But open animosity is enough reason for Trump to dismiss her as a running mate. She thinks his wall idea is stupid.

When Alisyn pointed out that Trump has a problem with the Hispanic community, Pierson responded by saying it was the media's fault that Trump actually has a Hispanic problem. "I mean, a big part of that problem as you call it because of the statements he has made in the past has been pulled out of context by the media."

Come, again?

Camerota did not let that comment fly by and interrupted and said:

"Katrina, I'm sorry, I have to interrupt you there, saying that they're saying they're rapists, they're sending their criminals -- "

PIERSON: That's not all he said.

CAMEROTA: He said "And I assume some are good people" --

PIERSON: The Department of Homeland Security statistics of the criminal aliens who are in this country, these are the things have occurred because we have an open border. And Hillary Clinton herself voted for the border. No one even talks about that. This is a matter of national security, and Mr. Trump was just stating the number of reasons why we need a wall.

CAMEROTA: Well, as you know, it was perceived by many Mexicans and Hispanics as being --

PIERSON: Thanks to the media.

CAMEROTA: No, it is his statement.

PIERSON: They only talk about rapists. They only talk about the sentences. They never talk about the sentences that followed those sentences.

CAMEROTA: I don't know that that's fair. These were his words, repeating back Mr. Trump's words are not the media skewing them. This was his opener, his opening salvo did offend Mexicans and Hispanics. So your point is, what, he doesn't feel that way, that he does feel that Mexico and immigrants coming here are made up..."

PIERSON: No, nothing has changed at all. My point is it is skewed because the media only plays the first few sentences. They don't play the rest of the entirety of what he said, which is some are here, some are working, some are good people. But no one ever hears the second part of the message, and that is because the media doesn't want people to hear the second part of that message.

Pierson rates a strong five stars ***** on the Crooks and LIARS lie - meter.

Here's what Trump actually said when he announced his candidacy:

When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.

Pierson makes believe that the media cut off the next statement Trump made, which would completely exonerate him from bashing Hispanics coming into the country. Here's what he said next:

But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we’re getting. And it only makes common sense. It only makes common sense. They’re sending us not the right people.

It’s coming from more than Mexico. It’s coming from all over South and Latin America, and it’s coming probably— probably— from the Middle East. But we don’t know. Because we have no protection and we have no competence, we don’t know what’s happening.

Thoughts, Katrina?

She continued on with this narrative when she said the media distorted Trump's words about banning Muslims into the country too.

Luckily, there's video and transcripts to prove her to be wrong, as usual.
