Just another day in America with more senseless gun violence.

3 adults were shot outside Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, Maryland around 11:00am on Friday morning. These 3 adults (2 male and 1 female) were shot in 3 separate areas of the parking lot outside of Macy's. A female was shot, and two males were shot when they went to her aid.

This is the most popular mall in the Montgomery County area, with a Nordstrom, Macy's and a renovated food court and Arclight theater. This type of violence is atypical of this area, although at this point, nowhere is safe from gun violence in America.

Shortly after the first incident there was a reported shooting at a Giant (grocery store chain) in Aspen Hill about 8 miles away. A female was the victim at the Giant and she was pronounced dead at the scene At this time, MCPD has not determined if there is a connection between the shootings.

All schools in the area have been placed on lockdown. No suspects have been identified or apprehended.

There was a shooting last night at High Point High School in neighboring Prince George's County. The shooter in that case has been identified as Eulalio Tordil and the victim was his estranged wife who had a restraining order against him. Tordil is a federal employee working in security. In that case as well, a male came to her assistance and was shot as well. There is no proof that these 3 cases are connected at this time, but Tordil is still at large and armed.

Suburban Hospital is now on lockdown. All 3 mall victims were taken there. All Montgomery County Public Schools were placed on lockdown at 1:00pm.

Update 1:15pm. Tordil has been named as a suspect. He is reported to possibly be wearing body armor. He drives a silver Hyundai Elantra with Pennsylvania plates.

Update: 2:00pm. I male has died from the shooting at Montgomery Mall, the other male is in critical condition. The female has non life threatening injuries.

Update 3:00pm: Tordil has been taken into custody across the street from the last shooting at Giant grocery store. Police report that there is reason to believe that all 3 shootings are related, although no further information was provided regarded connections. Police report that no other citizens were injured during the arrest.

Guns in America.
