Carly Fiorina is making the rounds of the many talk shows available to her now that Ted Cruz has named her as his imaginary VP. She's been criticized for praising Donald Trump when he began his campaign and for attacking Ted Cruz while she was running for the presidential nomination herself.
Apparently, she has a big problem with honesty as was exemplified by her promotion of bogus Planned Parenthood videos.
She joined The Morning Joe crew to explain why Cruz is so awesome now.
However, Mika jumped in and asked a very good question about the negativity that both her and Cruz revel in and their promotion to do nothing if they win the White House.
BRZEZINSKI: So I was looking at your speech because I was really trying to think about this throughout the evening yesterday and figure out why I'm not completely sold on this ticket, Carly, and I like you very much. You just mentioned Ted Cruz as a fighter. I think some would say that the national sentiment is that the middle class has been screwed and that nothing gets done in Washington.
And when you talk about nothing getting done in Washington, a lot of people look at Ted Cruz, shutting down the government, creating enemies everywhere in Washington. And a large chunk of your speech, which I have here, is about fighting and about the value of making enemies. You even say that you make enemies, it's the price of leadership, the price that one too many people aren't willing to pay, and so they don't lead. Ted Cruz has made enemies by taking on political class. And I'm just wondering, just because there's so much negativity in this speech, is that really a talent that you want to boast for yourself and your candidate?
I've never seen a presidential candidates try to self themselves as hating people and making political enemies. Carly was forced to explain that getting things done in Washington is disastrous. Isn't a big role of government to try and help the country they govern?
FIORINA: Well, you know, Mika, there was a lot of positive in that speech, too, about what's at stake and how this must be a nation once again where every American, regardless of their circumstances, feels the possibilities that come from their God-given gifts and their potential.
Listen, I'm a conservative, so I actually think getting things done in Washington is not always the point. You know, Obama care got done. It's a disaster. There are some things that go on in Washington that need to be fought, need to be repealed, need to get undone and that's why I'm a conservative. And that's why I think Ted Cruz...I'm sorry?
Mika fired back that that's what we've had since Obama took office. Republicans decided to make enemies instead of governing and that isn't a prescription for success.
BRZEZINSKI: That's what we've had, a lot of people fighting and a lot of enemies being made and a lot of things getting fought instead of getting done. Isn't that what we've had?
Carly actually said that legislative accomplishments are a very bad thing, indeed.
FIORINA: Yeah, well, you know, you and I don't have the same political views, Mika, I think that's fair to say, although I really like you, too, and Frank says hello. But legislative accomplishment is part of the problem, actually. The federal government shouldn't be running health care. So here is the thing. 80 percent of Americans, 80 percent, now know the federal government is incompetent and corrupt. And 80 percent of Americans also think we have a professional political class of both parties who cares more about their position and power and privilege than on getting anything done.
Is their campaign slogan for the Cruz/Carly ticket
You've never seen hatred until you've seen our ticket. We'll make everyone in Washington despise us so much that we will never get any legislation passed.
Vote for the true conservatives!
