We usually don't cover overseas press issues here at C&L, but really?
Did you know you can't film a protest in the central lobby of Parliament because that might encourage other protesters to do the same? I still think the Trump Press Pens are worse but still.. The Guardian, emphasis added:
BBC’s political editor Norman Smith is told to stop filming the disability protest in parliament’s central lobby on Wednesday. Disability campaigners were protesting over benefit cuts... The House of Commons authorities do not allow such events to be filmed as it may encourage campaigners to stage similar stunts.
In the real world where you can't hide behind parlimentary security guards and house tradition, cutting aid to the disabled is a "stunt," too. All too often the budget-cutting conservatives get to do that without a camera on them.
Here in Illinois, the Republican Governor Bruce Rauner cut funding for the state autism program on World Autism Day. We might not have known that had it not been for lots and lots of local reporting. It's the austerity, stupid. Keep the cameras on.
