Pastor Who Gave Invocation For Ted Cruz Shot, Wounded Critically (Updated)
March 7, 2016

This is disturbing news.

Tim Remington, the Idaho pastor who gave the invocation at a campaign rally for Ted Cruz Saturday was shot and critically wounded in the parking lot of his church today.

NBC News:

Police told NBC station KHQ of Spokane, Washington that when officers arrived shortly before 2 p.m. (5 p.m. ET), they found a man with several gunshot wounds.

The gunman fled and remains at large. An associate pastor at the church told KHQ that the gunman was described as a little more than 6 feet tall, with short curly blond hair, a slim build and glasses.

Remington, a prominent spokesman for conservative issues, delivered the opening prayer for Cruz, a U.S. senator from Texas who is among the leading candidates for the Republican presidential nomination, at a rally Saturday at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds.

Nothing more is known about motive or who shot him.

Update:

Police are searching for Kyle Andrew Odom, who they say is suspected to be the shooter.
