Bob Marley once declared Dennis Brown as his favorite singer, calling him "The Crown Prince of Reggae."

Born on this day, February 1s tin 1957, Dennis was around 15 years old when he recorded his first version of Money In My Pocket in 1972 for producer Joe Gibbs. In 1978, his re-recorded version of it go to #14 on the UK pop charts.
