As a elementary school aged kid in the 70's I had a really cool babysitter watch after me from time to time. We had a pretty decent stereo so she'd always bring records over to entertain me while my folks were out on the town. One of my favorite songs that she had was this one by Nolan Porter.
When I entered high school in the early 80's I heard Joy Division's 'Unknown Pleasures' album for the first time. Something about the song "Interzone" sounded vaguely familiar. It took me a couple of years to put my finger on it, but eventually I realized they lifted the guitar part from that Nolan Porter tune.
I still dig both records a lot. With the new year in gear, I am searching for a new day job gig. I use the Nolan song for encouragement and advice. The Joy Division song gets saved for wee night time hours.
