The FBI announced the arrests of three more militants at the Malheur Refuge Wednesday.
At approximately 3:30 pm, the FBI made probable cause arrests of Duane Leo Ehmer, age 45, of Irrigon, Oregon, and Dylan Wade Anderson, age 34, of Provo, Utah. At approximately, 7:40 pm, agents made a probable cause arrest of Jason S. Patrick, age 43, of Bonaire, Georgia. All were in contact with the FBI, and each chose to turn himself into agents at a checkpoint outside the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. The arrests were without incident.
Each man faces one federal felony count of conspiracy to impede officers of the United States from discharging their official duties through the use of force, intimidation, or threats, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 372.
Ammon Bundy and the other 7 militants arrested Tuesday were denied release on the grounds that they are flight risks with no ties to Oregon.
Meanwhile, Cliven Bundy gave an interview to Shelly Adelson's newly-acquired rag.
Bundy said Ammon and Ryan were at the Refuge to “do good, no harm was intended. They would never threaten anybody.”
Tell that to someone staring down the barrel of those big guns, Cliven. Not to mention the damage done to that nature preserve with heavy earthmoving equipment. I suppose I don't even need to mention the deranged folks calling for their reinforcements to kill federal agents to gain access to the refuge.
Cliven Bundy has no business saying anything to anyone, much less Adelson's rag. He should be in jail himself, and since he's not, the best thing he could do is to quit stirring the pot and thank his Mormon god that he's not in the clink with his kids.
If Cliven had been arrested instead of glorified back in 2014, maybe we wouldn't have to put up with this nonsense today. Instead, his sons managed to terrorize an entire community in a state where they don't live on land they don't own.
Now they're going to occupy government land whether they like it or not. Federal government land, and without their damned guns.
